Product Warranties

FineKnobs product warranties are limited to the warranties of each of our brands. Following is a summary of each of our brands’ warranties and a link to their corresponding webpage.

Classic Brass

Classic Brass offers a lifetime guarantee on the material and workmanship of our products. Our handcrafted wax finishes on solid brass and bronze products are known as a “living finish” which means it will change with time, touch, climate and care techniques. Our finishes that are shipped with a lacquer coating a guaranteed for a period of one year from date of receipt. Our wax finishes will naturally change over time due to issues such as climate, environment and level of daily use. The natural patina process will result in a unique finish, therefore not eligible for warranty or return. We will refinish at our expense all products returned that we deem to be a defective finish.

Due to the fact each product will be exposed to a varying set of conditions, we do not warranty the finish of our products except as stated above. Rocky Mountain Hardware

Rocky Mountain Hardware stands behind all our residential bronze products with a lifetime guarantee on material and workmanship. In addition, the internal mechanisms, including all locks, latches, etc., are guaranteed for 50 years from the date of sale to the original user. Rocky Mountain Hardware will repair or replace the defective product or parts that fall within these guidelines. When necessary, a proof of purchase dated within the warranty period may be required. The patina finish applied to our bronze products is known as a “living finish” which means it will change with time, touch, climate, etc. Because each product will be exposed to a varying set of conditions, we do not warranty the finish of our products. Buster+Punch 

Buster+Punch provides you with a detailed limited product warranty summarized as follows under the following terms and conditions.

This Warranty is only valid for as long as you own the Product. As the original purchaser, you also acknowledge that you will be responsible for determining whether the Product is appropriate for use. Buster+Punch warrants to you that the Product: (a) conforms to Buster+Punch’s published product specifications; and (b) is free from defects in material or craftsmanship. The duration of your Warranty (“Warranty Period”) is two (2) years from the date of the original purchase.

Within the applicable Warranty Period, if you discover the Product fails to conform to specifications or contains a defect in material or craftsmanship, you must promptly notify us in writing. To be effective, this notification must be received by Buster+Punch prior to the expiration of the applicable Warranty Period. Within thirty (30) days of receipt of your returned Product, Buster+Punch will: correct any failure of the Product to conform to our published specifications; or correct any defect in material or craftsmanship. We will use either new replacement parts or used parts that are equal to new parts in performance and reliability. We will cover the expense of repair and replacement of the Buster and Punch product (including both parts and labor). We will perform all Warranty service at the location to which the Product is sent, and as such, we reserve the right to determine the labor method used during replacement or repair of the Product. If we are unable to repair the Product to conform to the Warranty, we will have the option of providing you with: (a) a replacement Product, or (b) a full refund of the purchase price. When returning the repaired or replacement Product to you, we only will pay for standard shipping charges. Baldwin Estate

Finish Limited Warranty: The finish on Baldwin Products (excluding Lifetime PVD Finish and living finish Products, as set forth below) is protected by a durable topcoat designed to maintain the beauty and quality of the Baldwin Product. For Baldwin Estate Products purchased with a Finish Limited Warranty other than the Lifetime PVD Finish Limited Warranty or a living finish, Baldwin warrants to the Purchaser that the finish of the Product shall be free of defects in material and workmanship from tarnishing, flaking, and discoloring for either (a) five (5) years from the date of purchase for interior use or (b) one (1) year from the date of purchase for exterior use; as long as said Purchaser occupies the residential premises upon which the Product was originally installed (“Warranty Period”). No finish warranty is offered on Baldwin living finish products, which are designed to age and improve over time. Living finishes include raw brass, oil rubbed bronze, stainless steel, and other non-lacquered or non-PVD finishes. Atmospheric conditions can cause staining and alkaline etching that varies by geography. In addition, frequent use will cause the finish to gracefully age in appearance. These finish changes are not considered manufacturing defects and are not covered by this warranty. Rather, they are indicative of normal wear and tear and reflect the essence of a living finish. Due to the nature of Baldwin living finish products, they will wear over time and may already have begun the process before reaching your home. 

Mechanical Warranty: Except as otherwise provided below, ASSA ABLOY, for its Baldwin® hardware brand products (“Baldwin”), warrants to the original residential purchaser (the “Purchaser”) that each Baldwin Estate product (the “Product(s)” or “Baldwin Product(s)”) shall be free of mechanical defects under normal use from the date of purchase for as long as the Purchaser occupies the residential premises upon which the Product was originally installed (“Warranty Period”). This Mechanical Limited Warranty applies only to Products purchased from Baldwin or a Baldwin authorized reseller, unless otherwise prohibited by law. Baldwin Products are legitimately sold only by authorized resellers who are required to follow Baldwin’s policies, procedures, and quality control standards. Baldwin reserves the right to reject warranty claims from purchasers for Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized Internet sites.
